Certification Comparison Checklist: Choose Before You Pay

Compare two credentials against the same first job and the same budget. Copy this checklist into your notes, or print the page and fill it in. You can use the checklist immediately.

1. Define the first job

  • Write one target role and the location where you can work.
  • Save ten relevant entry-level postings.
  • Separate required credentials from preferred credentials.
  • List the three tasks that appear most often.

2. Fill in the comparison

3. Check the real budget

Exam path: all required attempts + preparation + labs + retake allowance. Subscription path: current monthly price × realistic paid months + any separate assessments or resources. Keep renewal as a separate ongoing cost so it does not disappear from the comparison.

Read voucher validity, trial billing, cancellation and refund terms before buying. Use the price in your own country and currency rather than a number copied from an old review.

4. Make one decision

  • I am choosing: __________
  • It fits my first target job because: __________
  • My maximum study budget is: __________
  • My first practice project is: __________
  • I will reassess my progress on: __________
